This educational tool is designed for high school physics classes to analyze the flight dynamics of launched pumpkins using real sensor data. Upload accelerometer data from your launch, and we'll calculate speeds, trajectories, heights, and provide detailed physics explanations.

How It Works

Step 1: Print Data Collection Sheet

  • Download and print the pumpkin launch data collection sheet
  • Prepare your phone/sensor app to record accelerometer data
  • Review safety procedures and measurement techniques

Step 2: Launch & Collect Data

  • Launch your pumpkins and record accelerometer data on your phone/sensor
  • Measure distance traveled, pumpkin weight, and launch angle
  • Record observations on your data collection sheet
  • Export accelerometer data as an Excel file (.xlsx)

Step 3: Upload & Analyze

  • Upload your Excel file and provide launch details
  • System automatically calculates velocity, trajectory, and flight characteristics
  • View interactive graphs showing acceleration, height, and rotation over time
  • Learn from detailed physics explanations for each calculation
  • Compare multiple launches side-by-side
