Warrior Coding Club
Did you know North Huron students are learning to code by building real video games? The Warrior Coding Club meets every Tuesday and is open to students in grades 5 through 12 who want to explore the world of software development in a fun, hands-on way. No experience needed!
When & Where
- Every Tuesday through the end of March
- North Huron Schools
- Open to students in grades 5 through 12
Our First Group Project
Our coders just finished their first group project — an arcade-style space ship game with multiple themes, boss battles, power-ups, and a token shop. Students didn't just play the game — they learned how real software gets built, from the first idea all the way to launching it live on the internet for anyone to play!
Each Week, We Explore a New Topic
- How the web works (websites are like digital restaurants!)
- The software development life cycle (building software is like a NASA launch sequence!)
- Finding and fixing bugs (students become code detectives!)
- Working with AI as a development tool
- Version control with Git and GitHub
- Deploying projects live to the internet
Follow Along at Home
Every week's lesson plan is posted on our website — complete with interactive slideshows that anyone can follow along with at home. Whether you're a student who missed a session, a parent who wants to see what your kid is learning, or just curious about coding, check out our Spring 2026 lessons page!
